This was one of the funnest trips I have had to date.
Here is the break down...
Four Girls
10 days
So I arrived in Moscow without my bag. It came a day after me. The good news is that my new
friend Betsy had the cutest Dansko's, and she let me borrow them.
Yes, I washed my underwear out in the sink overnight.
The Hotel in Moscow was a true American Four Star. It had nice beds and sheets.
Yummy mint Tea. Nice people who spoke the only language I know, English.
And most importantly, a nicely supplied mini bar.
I'm not a drinker...just a snacker!
Everyday was packed with interesting places and people. Lots of people going places
very fast. We rode the Metro, similar to New York Subway.
No one talks...they just stare.
"Yes I am American" is all I could think as they stared.
We tried Geogian Food. It was amazing.
Russian food....not so grand. It could be the next diet craze.
We also had yummy Italian and their version of sushi...not fabulous.
We went to bed late...like 1 AM late and woke up early.
I'm getting to old for that stuff.
I learned the difference between tourist and vacation goer.
I did end up paying to go pee in Moscow...something I tried to avoid.
But, it was the cleanest public bathroom I probably used.
Smells are overwhelming there.
Urine, body odor, meat, smoke, old spice all within
two minutes. Susie had a hard time with this one...I loved watching her turn green!
It was the perfect time of year to visit. There were tulips everywhere.
They try hard to keep their city clean.
St. Petersburg was my favorite.
We even spent a day "in the country" in St. Petersburg. That was my
favorite day.
Can't take the country out of the girl I guess.
So thats a wrap on Russia!
