Love Week

#3 I love Books

Simply... I love the way they smell. I love to hold them.
I have had access to a kindle for months now and I continue
to buy books to read. Call me traditional.
Right now I am reading "The Forgotten Garden" by Kate Morgan.
I also am reading "The Swan Theives". Both are very good so far.
Both I bought paperback at the book store. Going to the book store
is one of my favorite things to do. I took Sierra a few months ago.
The minute she walked through the door she said " the smell of
books just make me faint". She also has a love of books. Last summer
we formed our own book club. We read "Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale.
Sipping lemonade on the back porch and reading together. Memories
to be cherished forever. What are you reading?

Celebrating Love Week

#1 I love Sugar.
A few weeks ago I tried to knock sugar out of my diet.
It didn't go over so well. Chocolate is one of my favorite sugars. I have a piece
of "good chocolate" everyday. Two Valentines ago I was pleasantly surprised.
We were deported from Kazakhstan. (This was also a surprise but not a pleasant One!) We had expired visa's. That is another story.
I was surprised to be spending Valentines in Frankfurt Germany alone with Ben.
I had never had German Chocolate Truffles. They were so smooth and velvety.
Sight seeing in Frankfurt was wonderful...but the chocolate I will never forget.
After spending 32 hours flying from Denver to Kazakhstan and then back to Germany. Chocolate was LOVE. I remember crying my eyes out and then grabbing for the
tissues and the truffles. This year I will not be in Germany. But I will have a truffle
or two.
