Top Ten Thurs.

Today is Easton's Birthday.  What a gift he is. I love him.
We get to go to Lion King in 3D on a SCHOOL NIGHT.
I had  chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream for lunch with Easton.
I found a pair of boots that called to me across the shoe store isle.
I got lots of hugs today.
I finished a really great book "When Crickets Cry" by Charles Martin.
The trees are turning
gold
red
and yellow.
We are going cabin camping for three days. The boys can't wait to use knives. I can wait.
Ben came in the door at 5:06...a record time! Let's Party!
I am blessed.

Read More Books

Instead of a dining room we have this quiet place

I love the vinage look of the new mirror
Easton is learning to read! I hope he loves to read.
Dillon and I will sit and read together. I love that he can't put the book down!
Books are not made for furniture,
but there is nothing else that so
beautifully furnishes a house.

Top Ten Thurs.

Top Ten Things I LOVED this week...
  1. Having Company. My in-laws came to visit and I love their company. We had so much fun.
  2. Grandma Wilson's Home-made Fried Chicken. It was divine.
  3. Sharing the cookie dough bowl with Easton while the cookies bake. We secretly like cookie dough better than the cookies. This is a sneaky game to play at our house, there is never enough dough for everyone.
  4. Going to the consignment store with Easton. He bought a gently-used bike for 25 dollars (all of his birthday money). He was one happy kid!
  5. Having golf lessons on Wednesday mornings...so much fun. I am learning so much.
  6. Watching Sydney and Dillon carry their guitars and violins into practice.  It makes me laugh. The instruments are almost as big as they are.
  7. Finding Pinterest! I am offically smitten.
  8. Completed my fourty by fourty list. Looking forward to giving that 100.00 dollar tip to a waiter or waitress.
  9. Feeling the cool temps outside. Fall is so beautiful.
  10. Setting the ring tone for the school to Maroon 5 "I am in Misery"! Fitting I think. They never call to say "Oh, Mrs. Wilson we just noticed Ian is doing so well in Math, thank you for sitting with him after school everyday". They call to say..."Mrs. Wilson's have you completed all of Easton's shots for kindergarten?"  "Mrs.Wilson Ian has three over due books from the Library." "Mrs. Wilson your lunch account is in the negative, your children can't eat school lunch tomorrow!"

Barrel of Monkeys

When I went outside to see what all the laughing was about this
is what I found....a barrel of Monkeys.

Our Pool in the neighborhood closed last weekend. It was a little early for our family. So they made
due with a bucket or two from the garage and the hose. Creativity times three if you ask me!
how fun to swim in a bucket. I was just a little jealous. I can only guess what the neighbors think!

So, come on over. We can play our version of "barrel of monkeys"! Happy Monday Everyone.
